How You'll Shine

Beaches Restaurant Bar @ Club Wyndham Seven Mile Beach are looking for a friendly experienced individual to join our kitchen team ahead of a busy summer wedding season.

As the Commis Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, producing and presenting all foods according to standard recipes and as directed and provide a superior customer experience. You will provide superior customer service to restaurant patrons, placing the highest importance on food safety and hygiene with food preparation and presentation to ensure our Owners and guests have a memorable experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Place highest importance to food safety and hygiene of food preparation as outlined in the HACCP principles and the local guidelines for catering establishments.

Prepare, produce and present all foods in accordance with identified Food Hygiene and Health Safety standards, commonly accepted in the catering industry.

Communicate promptly, clearly and concisely to Head Chef and team members on all matters.

Follow given tasks to completion and to the best of your ability

Audit kitchen stock grocery lines daily order stock as required

Display eagerness to increase food knowledge and skills.

Strive to minimise food wastage.

Provide an exceptional Guest experience

Hold appropriate qualifications

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will be:

Relevant trade qualifications (ie Commercial Cookery)

Previous Food Beverage experience in a Hotel/Resort environment and/or Commerical Kitchen

Hold a Food Safety Handlers Certificate

A desire to deliver an exceptional Guest experience

An adaptive mindset and vision to deliver a quality product

Attention to detail and a passion for food quality, presentation and consistency

Punctual, reliable, and presentable

Excellent grooming standards, professionalism, and reliability

The ability to work a flexible roster, inclusive of evenings, weekends and public holidays
