Description:
Reporting to the Director of Labor and Delivery
The Charge Operations Analyst is responsible for the planning, implementation, support and maintenance of the automated information and business systems within the Department in collaboration with the Director and appropriate staff.
Responsibilities:
Disseminates information, guides, and directs assigned staff for effective integration and coordination of departmental work activities and quality job performance.
Acts as a technical advisor and resource for staff.
Manages maintenance function for SurgiNet – Scheduling Appointment Book and other relevant departmental software.
Submits and audits all assigned charge entries.
Develops and maintains key performance and outcome metrics for the managed area.
Provides reports to staff, department, and manager based on these metrics.
Assists Director in developing and implementing department objectives and programs.
What you will need:
Required:
Bachelors Degree Healthcare or Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of years of education and experience with a demonstrated knowledge of patient scheduling, charge entry and billing procedures, and medical terminology.
Three to five years experience in a complex hospital system.
Three to five years experience with design and implementation of automated systems as well as staff training.
Three to five years experience in charge entry, billing, procedures codes, CDM, and auditing of charge capture.
Information Systems Training certification preferred.
Experience with documenting and reviewing charge capture preferred.
