Overview

　　Directly responsible for the safe and efficient transport of all passengers requiring non-emergent medical transportation.

　　Responsibilities

　　Completes a safety evaluation based on weather and road conditions prior to accepting a transport request.

　　Inspect and clean vehicle daily.

　　Maintains readiness of Wheelchair Van to respond to transport requests.

　　Operates lift gate of vehicle

　　Utilizes road mapping, GPS hardware and software for transports.

　　Maintains communication with the DHART Communications Center for the duration of each transport via 2 way radio or cellular communication.

　　Respond promptly to all calls.

　　Provide outstanding customer service in a professional manner.

　　Complete all paperwork in a timely manner per policy.

　　Performs other duties as required or assigned.

　　Qualifications

　　High school graduate or GED.

　　Must be 21 years of age.

　　Ability to pass a background check

　　Ability to lift and maneuver 125 pounds

　　Required Licensure/Certifications

　　Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required in accordance with D-H’s Driver Disqualifications Guidelines.

　　BLS certification required
