Description

　　An area non-profit based in Newark, NJ is currently seeking a CFO on a contract to full-time basis. The CFO will be tasked with guiding financial strategy and overall financial leadership for the organization. The CFO will be responsible for leading FP& A activities, cash management, preparing financials, managing bank relationships, and ensure the organization is current with audit requirements. The CFO will also prepare schedules for audits and tax filings, as well as ensuring compliance with non-profit regulatory requirements. The ideal CFO will have either a CPA or MBA, a minimum of 10 years' experience in non-profit leadership and management, and will have a forward-thinking approach to leveraging software and data analytics to ensure the modernization of accounting operations.

　　Requirements - Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

　　Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting

　　A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior accounting/finance position

　　Solid understanding of accounting software and other computer software

　　Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment

　　CPA designation or MBA highly preferred
