About CF6 (F138) Military Field Service Representative

  Job Description Summary

  The CF6 (F138) Military Field Service Representative will provide on-site technical assistance to Military organizations meeting both business and contractual objectives. Additionally, while acting as a liaison between the GE factory and the customer, the FSR will support the operation, management, repair, installation, and maintenance of their assigned propulsion system products with the US Air Force C-5M program.

  Essential Responsibilities

  Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns covering a wide variety of support issues related to the maintenance, repair and management of the CF6-80C (F138 ) engine at a prime and roved locations. Additionally responsible for knowledge of assigned region, coverage area, and related product lines, their associated configuration installations, and represents the most direct access to all appropriate internal functions to support the customerEstablish and maintain contact to provide on-going technical and business support to assigned customersIncludes direct customer interaction and coordination. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute on contract deliverables.Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketUses best judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated maintenance and troubleshooting processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  Qualifications/Requirements

  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a field service / maintenance position as a Military Field Service Representative)Minimum of 3 years of field maintenance, modification, and repair experience on propulsion system products

  Eligibility Requirements

  Ability and willingness to travel as requiredAbility and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret ClearanceAbility and willingness to relocate to domestic or international locations to support the needs of the businessAbility and willingness to successfully complete all requirements for domestic and international customer assignments
