  Department: Pharmacy Services

  Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift, 6:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

  Hospital: Saint Thomas Midtown

  Location: Nashville, TN

  Responsibilities

  Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification.

  Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.

  Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department.

  Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.

  Repackage bulk medications.

  Receive and store incoming supplies.

  Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.

  Requirements

  Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.And One or more of the following Required:

  Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.

  Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.

  Education:

  High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
