CNA employees at our facility performobjective-level work, providing direct and indirect nursing care, forgeriatric, disabled and/or cognitively impaired clients at the VeteransHome. This care is designed to meet the therapeutic, preventative,restorative, spiritual, psychosocial, cognitive and rehabilitative needsof WVHK members. This position works as an integral part of the healthcare team under the limited supervision of a Nursing Supervisor andunder the direction of licensed nursing staff. Hours/Shifts: Full Time(40 hrs/week) Part Time (less than 40 hrs/week) Evening 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm or similar hours) Night 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am or similar hours)Full-time and part-time positions require the availability to workvarying hours and/or overtime shifts as assigned. Job duties include theability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visualobservations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, usespecial safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment inthis position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis(TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility are required toreport their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, andprovide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employeeswill be required to submit this information by their third day ofemployment.
