Medical AssistantJob Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our outpatient care team. The successful candidate will perform various clinical duties, such as discussing symptoms with patients, inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, and delivering direct patient care in accordance with their active certification. The role also includes giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, as well as sterilizing and cleaning equipment. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized examination room environment.
The Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with Physicians and Nurses, and will be expected to make decisions based on the interpretation of area/department policies and methods for completing assignments. The position involves working within defined parameters, with some latitude over prioritization and timing, and under minimal direction. There is an expectation to follow standard policies and practices with some opportunity for interpretation, deviation, and/or independent discretion.
Hard Skills:
Experience with electronic medical records systems
Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing routine diagnostic tests
Ability to draw blood and collect specimens accurately
Skills in sterilizing and cleaning medical equipment
Soft Skills:
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with a team of Physicians and Nurses
Excellent communication skills for discussing symptoms with patients and colleagues
Effective decision-making skills with an understanding of healthcare policies and practices
Adaptability and flexibility in prioritizing tasks
Work Environment:
The position is onsite at a provider clinic located in Wellington, FL, operating Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The successful applicant will be joining a dynamic team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)
Current CPR certification
Preferred: Bilingual capabilities

This is a contract position for a duration of 10 weeks.
