About Certified Medical Assistant

　　Maintains current certification as certified medical assistant. Performs clinical and clerical tasks. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients’ charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. May administer injections, perform x-rays, perform laboratory services and perform clinical testing such as EKGs. Performs routine clerical functions based on knowledge of medical practice procedures and policies.

　　Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant
