Inventories and replenishes supplies to nursing units and ancillary patient care areas according to established schedules and levels. Assists departments / customers with questions and supply needs. Maintains the Storeroom, Receiving and other supply areas.Responsibilities:1.Receiving assignment; greets incoming delivery vehicles, delivered packages are physically inspected for damage and accepted. Packages contents are received in hospital's ERP system (Infor). Standard work instructions are followed for packages not listing a purchase order. Received supplies are organized and delivered to departments. Drives hospital vehicle to deliver supplies to departments located off the main hospital campus.2.Receiving assignment; assures accuracy in counts between vendor packing list, physical product and ERP purchase order. Variances are documented in the ERP or per receiving protocol.3.PAR assignment; Collects Kanban bins from assigned departments and return bins to Storeroom for replenishment, or conduct PAR level counts in non-Kanban department storage areas to determine replenishment quantities. Mobile handheld devices are used to replenishment items and decrement inventory.4.PAR assignment; delivers filled bins and non-Kanban supplies to the appropriate department and room and shelving locations.5.Stocks Storeroom shelves, straightens supplies, removes unneeded packaging, identify expired or compromised inventory, and performs other tasks associated with maintaining the Storeroom, Receiving and other supply areas managed by Supply Chain Management.6.Performs inventory issues when filling department requisitions. Performs inventory counts associated with physical inventories, cycle counts or on-hand quantity verifications.7.Technician will be familiar with hazmat package labelling and follows hospital protocol in handling hazardous materials.8.Technician promptly and courteously responds to department / customer phone calls and inquiries.
