Wachter is accepting applications for CCTV / Alarm Service Technicians for installation and services project work at various retail locations across the United States. We seek self-motivated and reliable technicians for service and special installation projects, who can work independently and find solutions to complete the job. Candidates need to sit in Columbus, OH or the surrounding area. Will travel 3 weeks at a time. The preferred candidate will have strong knowledge of various CCTV systems, and structured cabling methods and standards. The candidate needs to have a working knowledge of cameras. DVR/NVR configurations is a big plus. Looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently and find solutions to get jobs done. This is a FULL TIME, Contract to hire position with the availability to go perm after 90 days. Good employees will roll to Wachter’s payroll with benefits that include Medical, dental, and vision. Travel will be required, 1 to 4 weeks at a time. Technicians will be fitted with a company vehicle after training which will come within the first couple of weeks. Since travel is required candidates must meet company standards in relation to background and driving record. Primary Customers are Walmart Stores —candidates MUST be able to adapt to different layouts and environments, ALL will be different. Techs will be doing the cabling and system installations and troubleshooting as needed. Most installation work will be performed overnight Sunday through Thursday. Responsibilities Install and configure CCTV systems. Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, which can include drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that CCTV systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements Assist and interface with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements Any other duties not listed as required for job and assigned by the manager
