WWR&R includes business, product, program, operational, data, and software engineering teams, who together manage the lifecycle of returned and damaged products.In this role as Category Manager, Amazon Warehouse you be responsible for managing the end-to-end customer experience and recovery performance for key categories for Amazon Warehouse. Amazon Warehouse (AW) is the largest direct-to-consumer sales channel for the ReCommerce team, selling millions of quality pre-owned, used, and open-box products each year from customer returned and warehouse damaged inventory. You will work closely with teams from returns, marketing, product evaluation, repair, and finance to establish KPIs and measure performance. This role requires a strategic leader with program management, retail/category management, and financial acumen to further improve our ReCommerce channel performance.Key job responsibilities- Partnering with product and project teams to identify opportunities to improve the used shopping experience.- Partnering with repair and operations teams to improve used item condition and listing standards.- Partner with inventory and pricing teams to identify and improve inventory health and recovery performance.- Making business decisions to optimize recovery across Amazon Warehouse.- Identifying industry trends across the non-new marketplace on Amazon and identifying the right strategic goals and objectives- Setting goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.- Represent your business with senior leadership at business reviews.- Work cross-functionally with Product Owners, Tech, Business, Finance and Operations partners- Resolving barriers and issues to improved recovery and customer experienceWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance or related field- 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, retail, operations, business management/program management with a proven history of delivering results- 5+ years of experience in retail/category management- Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating- Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes- Strong analytic skills and financial acumen- MBA- Superior analytical and quantitative skills, comfortable with complex financial data- Track record of delivering results, setting strategy, and running a large volume and high-profile business- High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment - figuring it out and adapting as you go- Ability to influence and inspire action in others- Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and a passion for executing strategy to deliver business results- Experience presenting to Senior Management- E-commerce experienceOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
