Job Location: Dallas, TX Preferred or Remote in Central or Eastern Time zone near major airport * Summary* As a Category Consultant on the Strategic Convenience Team, you will serve as an expert to the sales team, retail team, and strategic customers. Your goal is to develop trust and accountability with your Hershey counterparts and your Retailer partners to drive growth in space expansion, seasonal development, and Channel thought leadership. You will serve as a data expert to the sales team and to our clients, driving development and implementation of Hershey initiatives to meet and exceed financial objectives. Key within the role is synthesizing business trends, competitive activity, shopper insights, and financial insights, among others, to identify opportunities within investment strategies and develop solutions to drive Hershey growth around key packtypes. This role calls on GPM, BP, and Pilot, helping to grow the category and Hershey’s business through strategic partnerships and acting as category captain. * Responsibilities* • Build relationships and trust with Retailer partners through seasonal review calls, regular business updates, and planogram sessions to maintain and gain Category Captaincy • Build internal relationships with your sales partners, category management team, and cross-functional partners to develop insights and actionable opportunities across the business • Lead and help develop planogram sessions with the Retailer by leveraging objective data and actionable insights to drive planogram development and regular cadence of updates. • Develop seasonal orders for all key seasons and promotions with all Retailers, leveraging seasonal order writing tools and data • Develop weekly reporting both internally and externally • Leverage objective, comprehensive, consumer-based and actionable insights recommendations based upon that information for our entire portfolio to both the customer as well as the internal sales team • Leverage syndicated, shopper, SRGM, PlanEx insights and data to optimize the total portfolio relating to all investment dollars • Establish regular meetings with underserved departments at the retailer to ensure our investments are delivering the proper return for the customer, shopper and Hershey alike • Generate recommendations for application of trade to include scan spends, fixed fees, loyalty, direct mailing, digital, everyday, seasonal, candy, and snacking along with understanding the direct and indirect impact for each promotion both with ROI but also balancing customer needs and expectations * Qualifications* * Education:* Bachelor's Degree Required * Experience:* This position requires CPG Sales experience (approximately 1-3 years), advanced analytical skills, knowledge of consumer sales industry trends and ability to partner both internally and externally. #LI-AM1 The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
