Description:

Casting Operator:1st Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm (Monday-Thursday)2nd Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am (Monday Thursday)

• Organization and housekeeping of the casting area, cleaning and basic maintenance of related equipment• Completes pre-cast setup to the requirements of the casting operation• Inspects casting setup for correctness and to ensure successful cast• Collects metal samples during casting and delivers them for quality testing• Removes, replaces and setup drain pans for continuous operation• Operates remote control crane as required• Performs minor repairs and cleaning of tooling• Services troughing, molds and additional equipment as necessary pre and post cast• Monitor cast for any defects and notify supervisor if necessary• Completes reports and logs as necessary• Notifies Control Room Operator and or Supervisor of any shortages in consumables• Notifies Control Room Operator and or Supervisor of any potential concerns or issues in production
