About Cashiers

　　A Cashier\'s primary role is to assist customers in the in-storecheck-out process. Main duties include ringing up sales, bagging items,requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment and givingappropriate change. ... May be responsible for checking materials andsupplies and reporting when stock is low. Responsibilities for CashierCollect cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers. Makechange accurately and efficiently. Issue receipts to customers. Dealwith returns and refunds as necessary. Maintain cash control overregister drawer and verify amounts are correct. Answer customerquestions as they arise. Cashiers must have a high school diploma orgeneral education degree (GED). Aside from this, cashiers need to havegreat interpersonal skills in order to provide customers with greatservice.
