This approach willhelp us achieve our core mission of breaking the generational cycle ofpoverty, preventing neglect and abuse, and building strong communities.Provides assessment/case support services to primary permanency caseworkersand provides a variety of paraprofessional and supportive services to childwelfare clients of the Child and Adult Protection Services (CAPS)Division. Make daily decisions related to organizing numerous requests by theworkers and prioritizing those requests.The Arapahoe County Human Services Child and Adult Protection Services has sixvacancies for this position.Duties
DUTIES:Provides transportation to children or caregivers as necessary to includetraveling with children both in and out of state, as needed for visitationor placement.Coordinates and arranges appointments and meetings for caseworkers.Assists in finding housing, food, transportation and other communityresources. Delivers needed items directly to clients. Completes referralsand secures funding for resources/services.Conducts field work alongside of the assigned intake or permanency caseworker.Completes timelines and genograms. Initiates other documentation/services asrequired and secures necessary signatures.Assists caseworkers in securing birth certificates, social securitynumbers, law enforcement reports, medical, dental and educationalrecords, and assists with records management and file mining.Enters/uploads information into Statewide Automated Child WelfareInformation System (Trails) and other databases. Ensures accuracy to dataentry.Conducts background checks within a variety of systems including ColoradoCourts, Denver Courts, Colorado Bureau of Investigations and Accurint.Assists with locating extended family/collaterals.Coordinates referrals and scheduling of family time/visitation and kinshipservices.Assists in removals by supporting primary caseworkers, including assistingwith calls and coordination, and providing childcareassistance/transportation.

Requirements
Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalentTwo years of full-time relevant experience with extensive public contact in aservice-related fieldAdditional completed college coursework in behavioral science or a closelyrelated field may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-yearbasis.Supplemental Information
Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptablemotor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.Possession of a valid Class "R" Colorado Driver's License or the abilityto obtain one within two weeks of appointment.
Post-Employment Requirements:
Will require fingerprinting and a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI)background check.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
