Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter with a strong background in construction to join our team. The candidate will be involved in a variety of construction projects, especially tailored to apartment buildings, working from blueprints and verbal instructions to create safe, durable, and visually appealing structures.Responsibilities:Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layouts and determine the dimensions and materials required.Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.Work with building materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.Layout floorings, roofings, or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible.Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environmentInstall structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, kitchens, doors, shelving, blinds, exterior insulation, siding, and trim.Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Carpenter in construction, with a focus on apartment building projects.Strong knowledge of carpenter's hand tools, power tools, and machinery.Able to lift 50 lbs.Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, rulers, etc.)Ability to read technical documents and drawings.Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.Willingness to comply with safety guidelines at all times.Good communication and interpersonal skills.High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required.Professional certification from an accredited institution will be a plus.
