JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Career Planner is responsible for the recruitmentand retention of participants into the Transitional Jobs program. TheCareer Planner will provide individualized case management andsupportive services; development and implementation of individualizedemployment and training plans; establishment of SMART goals;coordination with partner agencies of needed services such as education,training, formal assessments, etc.; development of participant worksites, and on-going follow-up and support. The Career Planner is theprimary case manager, has the ultimate responsibility for the case, andis responsible to meet individual performance goals. Key Roles: I.Recruitment and pre-screening of potential applicants II. Provideorientation on available services, career information, and job-seekingskills III. Provide/coordinate career assessment to assist participantsin determining interests, aptitudes, abilities, limitations and trainingneeds, and/or refers to additional assessment as needed. IV. Assistsindividuals in developing employment/training plans and servicestrategies to address assessed needs V. Assists participants in theimplementation of individualized training/employment plans. VI. Providesparticipant follow-up to assess progress and assist in job retention.VII. Provides employer/agency outreach as representative of the JobCenter and Workforce Resource. VIII. Participates as a member of JobCenter, Workforce Development Area and Workforce Resource teams tocontinuously improve the quality of Workforce Development services inthe region ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'sdegree or equivalent credentials and experience. Experience supporting ateam that is working towards specific goals. Ability to relateeffectively with people with a high level of integrity. Ability toidentify problems and independently collect, logically organize andanalyze information and/or data in order to make appropriate decisionsor recommendations. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Outlook, Word,Excel, and Power Point. Ability to compose detailed correspondence androutine reports in a clear, concise, logical, and effective manner whileutilizing proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, andtone.
