Join the LES team as a Toolroom Supervisor and be a key player in operational excellence. This position will supervise teams in two Lincoln, NE locations, prioritize safety, and meet the tool and PPE needs of our internal customers.
CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsible for the overall supervision of the tool room. Specific responsibilities include budget development and oversight of the acquisition, issuance, repair, and maintenance of tools and equipment for use by field crews while ensuring a safe and proper work environment. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Supervises staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring employee performance, ensuring staff members are trained and cross trained, resolving conflicts, and making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations.
Develops and maintains tool standards for vehicles, personnel and PPE. Leads the tool committee.
Oversees the inspection, modification, maintenance, testing and repair of tools, PPE and equipment.
Establishes and implements policies and processes for area of assignment and assesses risks related to policies and department activities.
Develops, implements and monitors short and long-term goals and objectives for the department.
Develops capital and operational budgets for area of assignment, including monitoring and explaining variances, approving and reviewing expenditures, etc.
Investigates and resolves complex customer questions, problems, and/or complaints.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Specific knowledge of OSHA regulations and ASTM standards as they relate to proper use of PPE in the electric utility industry.
Reading, analyzing, and interpreting drawings, reports, procedures, policies, and manuals.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in related field, and
At least four years of progressively responsible experience in area of assignment, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
