About Care Worker (Female, Drivers) - Block Shift Pay - Heaton (NE7)

  Applicants must be based in Newcastle, UK.

  Shift pay rather than pay per call, which means you are paid from the start of your first call to the end of your last call within a shift.

  Pay: £12.00 p/hr (drivers)

  Mileage - 40p per mile for drivers

  Mileage - 15p per mile for cyclists

  Part-time hours available

  Full-time hours available

  Bonus schemes*: up to £300 new starter (based on average hours worked), £300 Refer a Friend, £250 annual bonus, £25 birthday gift voucher.

  As a Community Care Worker working in Heaton and High Heaton (NE7) you will agree a week 1 and week 2 shift pattern, which includes:

  Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday

  Evenings as agreed within your working shift pattern

  Early shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm

  Late shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

  We need caring, kind, compassionate people to work across Heaton and High Heaton (NE7), providing high-quality person-centred care in the Community Care Worker role.

  Paid induction training: 1 week classroom-based, 2 days shadowing and additional online modules. Care certificate completed within 3 months.

  Mileage: 40p/mile (driver), 15p/mile (cyclist).

  Job Description

  As a Community Care Worker, you will provide care and support to meet individual personal care needs. You will:

  Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.

  Promote independence.

  Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.

  Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.

  Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.

  Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting and sharing information with the right people at the right time.

  Induction Training

  You do not need care experience. If you have the right values, we will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Community Care Worker.

  As a  Community Care Worker, you will be provided with a comprehensive induction training on:

  Community wellbeing, individual wellbeing, and personal outcomes;

  Fluids and nutrition;

  Medication, moving and handling, basic life support and first aid;

  Infection prevention and control, health, and safety;

  Professional boundaries, confidentiality, equality, and diversity;

  Safeguarding, mental health and capacity.
