The Cardiac Sonographer performs clinicalechocardiographic studies for congenital heart disease on patients rangingfrom neonatal to adult. As a leader in pediatric heart care, our Instituteis the largest in the region, treating more than 20,000 patients each year.Hourly Salary: $36 - $54/hour or Annual Salary Range $74,467 to$111,701 (Based on hours worked per week and years of experience)Eligible Incentives: Relocation AssistanceHours and Shift Details: Full time and Part time shifts available. Completion of a two-yearcollege program with emphasis on imaging modalities or other associatedmedical program; American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)registration requirExperience: One year of relevant experienceCertification(s):Pediatric Registry required within one year upon hire;Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS);Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) orRegistered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through CardiovascularCredentialing International (CCI);BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months leftbefore expiration is required upon hireJob Highlights:Performs clinical echocardiographic (echo) studies, newborns toadults, for congenital heart disease with a moderate degree of difficulty orcomplexity requiring knowledge of hemodynamics, physiology, and congenitalheart disease.Completes echocardiography studies strictly following departmental sequenceand protocol.Completes Doppler studies and obtains appropriate color flow and spectralanalysis Doppler data including advanced analysis of hemodynamics.Prepares accurate preliminary summaries of the echocardiography findings forcardiologist interpretation providing documentation of observed echofindings; reviews completed studies with cardiologistMaintains clean and safe practices, procedures, equipment, and workspacein order to contribute to a healthy patient care environment.Performs routine transthoracic echocardiograms on pediatric patients in thenetwork of care and regional sites as needed; and assists with schedulingconflicts, changes, cancellations and workflow issues.
