The Capital Projects Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating assigned capital projects, ensuring their successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule. Key responsibilities include developing detailed project scopes and cost estimates, prioritizing projects, and supervising and coaching capital staff.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in managing public works or utility projects. Supervisory experience and project management certification are required, and proficiency in project management software is preferred. strong communication and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to establish effective working relationships and oversee subordinate staff. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Supervise, coach, and counsel assigned capital staff
Monitor quality control and inspection activities on assigned projects, taking corrective actions when required
Approve payment requests from vendors, consultants, and contractors
