Job Title: Capital Campaign DirectorFLSA Status: Full Time - exemptReports to: Divisional Director of DevelopmentSchedule: FT/E, M-FSupervises: N/AStart Date: TBDRate of Pay: $95,000/yearClosing Date: 10/18/23Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Exempt employees are eligible for but notlimited to the following:Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disabilityinsuranceSick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual andavailability begins at hire)Vacation benefit - 20 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0769hours for each hour worked (accrual begins at hire but may not be used untilthe completion of six months of employment)One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually,but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-monthintroductory period of employment)Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service)Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan)Function:The Capital Campaign Director will focus on specific targeted Salvation Armycampaigns, identified by the Intermountain Division's Divisional Commanderand the Divisional Director of Development in concert with the Command FinanceCouncil. He/she will be a key member of the leadership team working inclose partnership with The Salvation Army Officers, team lead peers andCorps Advisory Board members.Working with the Divisional Commander, Divisional Director of Developmentand Director of Major Gifts will manage a portfolio of top prospects and majordonors while developing long-term productive relationships to maximize supportfor The Salvation Army.Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the lead strategist for development department capital campaignteams.Apply an entrepreneurial approach to fundraising-think creatively to developstrategies to increase revenue.Consult with the Donor Services team in direct mail analysis, and setstrategy for capital campaign and special internal mail initiatives.Actively participate in all levels of the Campaign to ensure successfulproject.Manage comprehensive feasibility studies, analysis, assessments andreviews to reveal the viability for the success of a campaign.Develop the plan for aggressive direct marketing.Raise philanthropic support by orchestrating and implementing complex andhighly targeted identification, cultivation, solicitation,stewardship, and upgrade activity specifically for the identified campaign.Through collaboration and campaign study research, assist with a dynamicportfolio of individual major donors, and prospects.Manage TSA internal process for capital campaign approval and completion.Serve as a trainer to officers, staff and advisory board members,providing fundraising and leadership expertise for capital campaigns.Performs other duties as required.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain acomprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that arerequired of the employee for this job. Qualification and Education Requirements:
A bachelor's degree with relevant advanced training or degree desired;Master's Degree and CFRE designation preferred
Minimum five years relevant experience, including significant capitalcampaign experience.
Ability to lead a team and proven track record of fundraising success.
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve or exceed goals and meet deadlines.
A high level of comfort with direct donor interaction, includingdiscussions of personal and family finances and asking for money is a must.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex environment,managing multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
Strong decision-maker with skillful approach that evaluates options,resour es and outcomes in light of the strategic plan of the Division.
A communications and management style that exhibits the principles andvalues of The Army, as well as fosters team relationships and effectivelycommunicates information.
Advanced understanding of resource development and familiarity with localand national funding sources
Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
Willingness to travel as needed within the Empire Division
A proficiency in Word and Excel, as well as experience with donor trackingand/or database software is preferred.
