What you need to know about this position:

　　The Cancer Services Financial Advocate is responsible for assisting patients and/or families to access financial resources.

　　The Advocate assists Social Services with guidance to those patients who may qualify for assistance through state, county, and federal programs.

　　The Cancer Services Financial Advocate position has a base hourly rate of $18.37. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

　　This part-time position will require you to work Mondays and Fridays, 8:00AM-5:00PM.

　　What is required for this position:

　　High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

　　Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assistant, medical financial services, or medical billing experience required.

　　Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

　　Six months to one year related experience and/or training in customer service, medical terminology and medical insurance preferred.

　　One year experience or training working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and/or Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) systems preferred.
