JOB FUNCTION:

　　As a Campus Refrigeration Technician, you will maintain and repair refrigeration throughout the Fareway Meat and Grocery Boone Campus. Your attention to detail and background in refrigeration technology will help us maintain efficient operation.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Start up, test and observe systems to ensure proper function for its operating lifeService and maintain existing systemsFollow refrigeration best practices, keeping up on industry standardsTroubleshoot refrigeration systems with different needsReplace faulty refrigeration partsUse Computerized Maintenance Management SystemOther duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

　　High school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and understand technical instructionsAbility to use various tools effectively and safelyExcellent communication skillsProven ability to work independentlyElectrical and mechanical skills are necessaryAbility to multitask and handle multiple prioritiesBasic math skills are requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

　　Previous experience or schooling on refrigeration systemsExperience in performing advanced HVAC diagnosis, maintenance, and repairBasic plumbing knowledgeExperience with ammonia refrigeration systemsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:

　　Must be able to climb stairs, bend, kneel, twist, reach, and pull frequentlyMust be able to lift items more than 50 lbs. occasionally, 25 lbs. frequently, and 10 - 20 lbs. continuouslyWORK ENVIRONMENT:

　　Exposure to varying temperatures depending on building:

　　Some jobs occur in room temperature rooms, 60F - 85FSome jobs occur in refrigerated rooms, 28F - 45FSome jobs occur in freezer rooms, -20F - 0FCampus warehouses have a noisy and busy environment; employees must always remain alert
