  Job Description

  AECOM are looking for a CAD Technician to work on our joint venture with Caledonia Water Alliance where we have teamed up with Morrison Water Services to deliver Scottish Water’s SR21 Water and Wastewater Infrastructure programme.

  In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  Works under limited supervision performing complex technical work.

  Duties may include technical responsibility for a major phase or component of a project.

  Takes lead role in workflow co-ordination.

  Knowledge of AutoCad and document management systems.

  Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined features.

  Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  Comply with CWA Quality Assurance procedures.

  BEING PART OF THE TEAM

  You will be key to the Water Capital Maintenance Rehabilitation programme for our client, Scottish Water designing small diameter pipelines through our SR21 water infrastructure framework across Scotland.

  You will be part of a diverse team of around 20x Civil Engineers and CAD Technicians, with support from specialist Designers from within the AECOM and CWA communities.

  We promote staff development and progression, and there are many development opportunities within CWA. CWA offers a unique opportunity to deliver the full project cycle, from concept design through to detailed design, and delivery!

  The role will be based in Stepps, which is only a 5-minute walk from the train station, and local shops/café’s and there’s also parking provided too!

  Qualifications

  HERE’S WHAT WE WILL NEED FROM YOU:

  A background in engineering design - ideally related to water company infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets including the civil design and specification

  Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  Water infrastructure.

  Clean water network design.
