We are actively seeking CertifiedAnesthesiologist Assistants to join the Pediatric AnesthesiologyDivision. At Children\'s Wisconsin, anesthesia care is provided using ateam model that includes involving faculty anesthesiologists providingdirect care and medical direction of anesthesiology fellows, residents,and advanced practice providers including certified nurse anesthetists(CRNA) and certified anesthesiologist assistants (CAA). Anesthesiaservices are provided at the main hospital, its pediatric AmbulatorySurgery Center, and at other satellite locations, to a full range ofhealthy and critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients, includingadults with persistent pediatric problems. The successful candidate mustpossess the desire and ability to provide the highest quality anesthesiacare to a complex pediatric patient population, working directly underthe supervision of our Pediatric Anesthesiologists and as part of a teamof highly trained and dedicated team of CAAs and CRNAs. Applicantsshould expect that exposure to different care environments will bedependent on patient care needs and the capabilities of members of thecare team, with patient safety and experience as the primaryconsiderations. Initial assignments will be structured and supportedwith emphasis on development of professional skills in the CWenvironment, especially for those without prior pediatric experience.For more information about our program please visit: In this role youwill: Administer general and local anesthesia Maintain anesthesiadelivery systems and monitors, including testing and calibration Preparepatients to be effectively monitored Monitor patients under anesthesiaMake recommendations regarding anesthetic care plans Performpost-procedure tests on patients to ensure that they are recovering wellResponsible for the operation of anesthesia equipment to monitorpatients while delivering direct anesthesia care.
