  General Summary

  Responsible for sourcing and procurement of goods analyzing and managing inventory from approved vendors. Purchase raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies for a group of products/functions. This includes processing requisitions, researching products, clarifying specifications, preparing purchase orders, developing supply sources and improving current vendors relations. Ensures that the minimum level of inventory is maintained supporting laboratories production schedules. Support, communicate and reinforce the mission and vision of the enterprise. Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

  Essential Responsibilities:

  Process purchase requisitions (manual and MRP generated) with qualified vendors.

  Purchase materials in line with inventory targets.

  Timely and effectively communicate forecasts and Purchase Orders to suppliers.

  Conduct supplier performance evaluations / supplier assessments.

  Implement and support strategies and solutions to improve cost levels, stable source of supply, high quality of services and others governing factors related to BBG Purchasing.

  Maintain the purchasing system which includes qualified vendors, current prices, product information, and other pertinent information.

  Manage and continuously review the ERP software to ensure it is accurate, up to date and consistently meets the requirements of the business.

  Provide follow‐up on back‐orders by communicating with requesting department.

  Search for alternative qualified supply vendors during periods of shortages or stock‐outs.

  Continually monitor and present procurement Key Performance indicators and ensure target cost is controlled.

  Maintain accurate vendor/purchase order files to include applicable quotes, acknowledgements, and any other pertinent information.

  Active member for Material Review Board managing slow moving, & obsolete inventory, expired and expiring materials.

  Add new inventory information to ERP system when required.

  Process and maintain documentation for all consignment allocation and sales processed for the organization.

  Place orders utilizing company purchasing card.

  Establish and maintain effective communication with vendors and other sales representatives.

  Communicate with departments regarding the expected delivery date for items requested.

  Research and resolve any pricing, delivery, or product discrepancies.

  Monitor shipments and expedite when necessary, maintain inventories and monitor usage inconsistencies, price changes and backorders.

  Assist with archiving of purchasing files.

  Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.

  Management of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as assigned.

  Maintain a close working relationship with departmental management and suppliers.

  Performs other duties as assigned.

  Other Possible Responsibilities:

  Represent Purchasing team and support projects teams for all related purchasing activities within a specific program.

  Perform the duties of others in the event of absences.

  Assist other departments as needed.
