About Buy Out Buyer LATAM

  Join our team in the exciting role of a Procurement Specialist, responsible for owning the purchase of tangible goods, purchase agreements for custom equipment, and subcontracts for services. This multifaceted position requires proficiency in short form RFx documents, supplier communications, and first-level bid reconciliation, as well as drafting and placing orders. The role involves being attuned to customers' "need by" dates, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating invoice/order deviations. Additional responsibilities encompass expediting, logistics, materials receiving, and tracking.

  Job Functions / Responsibilities:

  Negotiation: Collaborate with the Order Manager to confirm delivery dates from ICO plants. Negotiate favorable prices, delivery terms, and shipping arrangements with vendors.

  Procurement:

  Purchase assigned intercompany supplies for KOB3 orders.

  Process all vendor returns efficiently and promptly.

  Collaborate with plants to ensure accurate delivery performance and to acquire all vital order documentation (drawings, procedures, certificates, etc.).

  Communication:

  Coordinate with the order entry team to ensure timely purchasing.

  Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve any invoice disputes.

  Professional Degree:

  Bachelor’s degree or similar experience in Business/Logistics.

  Collegiate studies in engineering are helpful.

  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  Attention to detail and accuracy.

  Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

  Good negotiation skills.

  Proficiency in English (80% required) and Portuguese (50% preferred).

  Qualifications:

  Professional Experience: A proven track record of more than 2 years in the automotive sector, showcasing expertise in processes and systems related to purchasing, materials, inventory, stockroom, and warehouse.

  Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational skills coupled with a proven understanding of sourcing and the ability to foster and maintain vendor relationships.

  Data Application: Proficiently apply and interpret data to address purchasing needs and efficiently manage inventory-related tasks.

  Software Proficiency: Familiarity with a range of business software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Plex, and other relevant tools.

  Interpersonal Excellence: Showcase excellent interpersonal skills, adept at interacting with team members, leadership, and vendors with professionalism and respect.

  Multitasking Prowess: Ability to seamlessly perform and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently, ensuring efficient and timely completion.

  Independence and Initiative: Demonstrate the capability to work effectively under minimal direction, highlighting a proactive and self-driven approach to tasks and responsibilities.

  Technical Knowledge Requirements:

  Procurement and Inventory management.

  Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Machining, castings, additive, etc.).

  Cost analysis expertise.

  Familiarity with logistics and international trade.

  Knowledge of the Oracle ERP system is desirable.
