The Facilities and Real Estate systems team is hiring a Business System Analyst-Intermediate Business Systems Analyst that has strong business analysis skills and technical abilities. These responsibilities include system analysis, requirements gathering, project leadership, and building relationships with technical and business areas.
Job responsibilities: Coordinate, facilitate, and coach Scrum team members to facilitate Scrum events, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, product demos, and sprint retrospectives Lead Scrum teams to deliver high value increments of work following Agile Scrum methodologies Work with Product Owners to align Scrum team activities and deliverables with Stakeholder's release plans and sprint goals Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to document business and system requirements (i.e., security, capacity, regulatory, scalability, reliability, recovery, and audit), user stories, and refine product backlog for technology solutions under general guidance; ensure work performed is in line with business strategy Analyze and document business processes, gather requirements based on those processes, and uncover areas for improvement Lead team in the development of project plans, estimation of projects, management of projects, monitoring project performance, and development of implementation plans Protect the Scrum team members from interruptions and ensure that they are practicing core agile principles Remove process impediments and escalate to the appropriate team members or managers for review and resolution Track and communicate Scrum team velocity, team capacity, team productivity, and related team planning and performance metrics via dashboards and radiators Support the development team with the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) process Drive projects to completion meeting desired milestones and completion dates. Work closely with management on project planning, resource allocation and vendor management Lead a team on small-to-large efforts across all aspects of the SDLC Work independently and within a team environment to complete development efforts Proactively communicate with management and the team on issues and/or any system changes Document technical design models, specifications, and test results Serve as an application expert on assigned applications Act as a coach and mentor to junior associates Perform as expert on assigned systems, serve as contact for system issues and perform problem resolution on highly complex problems
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience 1+ years of experience in a Business Systems Analysis role Project leadership experience with moderately complex efforts Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate with upper management and technical teams Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment 1+ years of experience gathering requirements from business users 1+ years of experience creating data flow, business process, and functional diagrams Experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed IT environment Advanced communication skills Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to continuously learn
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of IT experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed environment 3+ years of experience analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions 3+ years of experience serving software delivery teams as a Scrum Master Experience utilizing Agile project management and code management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira) In depth SQL query knowledge Scrum Master Certification (CSM) Experience in identifying and supporting process improvements Experience in facilitating agile scrum events and ceremonies Experience and knowledge of project and problem management, change management, and other systems development processes Experience supporting data and process governance of distribution system compliance in accordance with company policies and standards

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
