DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Business Services Representative (Employment Facilitator, OVR), you will serve as liaison between employers, providers, and district office staff to support established district office programs and customer placement opportunities. You will promote OVR employment programs as well as other employer work incentive programs and services. These include job training, apprenticeships, paid work experiences, supported employment and more! As you maintain established relationships between our department and a variety of stakeholders via phone, email, and virtual and in person meetings, you will also have the opportunity to join local employment organizations and collaborate across all bureaus in shared territories to create new connections in support of our customers.
Get involved in our mission by developing and maintaining positive, professional relationships with businesses and stakeholders, visiting their on-site locations, and participating in trainings and conferences. You will also have the opportunity to research and analyze labor market information, identify and resolve problem situations, and make recommendations to supervisors for potential outreach plans. Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time after completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Erie.Salary:Most employees will start at the beginning level of the advertised salary.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:A bachelor's degree that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences.Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
