A day in the life of...
The Business Intelligence Manager (BI Manager) owns the data lake, data warehouses and other infrastructure used in data analytics. The BI Manager also leads the team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Sustain Team in the daily activities needed for the analysis, development, testing, implementation and sustain of respective solutions. The BI Manager supports all the developments of projects with scheduling, planning and resource allocation. Conducts feedback process, including peer reviews and portfolio reviews. Fosters a performance culture using individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. Creates relationships within the organization for the latest news in advanced analytics and for the latest tools and applications used in data analytics, ETL and data storage and shares the best practice to the team. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for the team and has some authority for personnel actions.
Works closely with ADL (Analytics, Data & Integration) team at the global and regional level. Partners with IBS and all the NBS Centers globally aiming the ambition of becoming a digital knowledge hub.
Key Outputs:
Is responsible for the upkeep of Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Dashboards and Analytical Tools
•Ensures data lake is running, data warehouse is up and Azure/other platforms used by data visualization is up
• Contributes to value delivery plans to meet the objectives, typically in sync with product management, enterprise architecture and business analyst
• Oversees and facilitates the research, evaluation, and selection of technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configuration
• Drives innovation by leveraging new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base
• Ensures proper documentation is followed
Supports the team with back-end data and databases concerns within TAT
Leads the center in advanced analytics use cases
• Attends/leads discovery workshops for analytics
• Proposes use cases and proof of concepts for analytical modeling
• Delivers analytical modeling projects for center, zone, markets
Responsible for Managing Resources and Data Engineering/Science Portfolio
• Partners with Analytics Partners, Data Visualization, BPA, Center Key Stakeholders, Process Optimizers, Digital Acceleration, FRMs and Business Development Team to re-evaluate process automation and analytics opportunities
• Managing all the activities of the Data Integrity Teamand set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery
• Delegating tasks and work schedules
• Consults with Product Manager to define the minimum viable product (MVP) that satisfies the business need
• Hire and train new developers and ensures the team receives refresher trainings
• Provide guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standards
• Ensures proper documentation of each project until sustain phase
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Assess and finalize options for solution and providing insight as to the best alternative that may include process improvement(s) (includes licenses recommendations, platforms, design, etc)

What will make you successful
Minimum of 5 years Data Analytics or related experience
Graduates of Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and other related fields
SQL and Python required
Knows the best practice of Data Ingestion, Data Wrangling and ETL (With experience in Azure and Snowflake)
Experience in analytical modeling
Experience on Power BI
