Job Summary
The Business Development Representative - One Care is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales accounts and leads to support the One Care product. One Care sales and lead nurturing are new capabilities for the organization and require a dedicated focus toward designing lead nurturing workflows and building relationships that will both support growth 2024-2025 and ensure an effective 2025 AEP for 1/1/26 enrollment. The Business Development Rep – One Care will be a growth-oriented partner to help drive results from initial lead generation initiatives. This individual will also be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources, including providers, community-based organizations, housing, etc. Role will support preparations for the full launch of a One Care sales team in Q4 2025. Community engagement team efforts will continue in parallel and will work collaboratively with the new resource to maximize self-selection growth and retention. Progress will be monitored to determine growth generating potential of One Care BDM position and future sales work, ensuring role structure supports product margin and membership goals.
Establishes and cultivates strategic business relationships with key growth and market influencers, potential new members, customers, and related community institutions. Creates and presents information to providers, business advocacies and potential eligibles. The BDR works closely with internal and external constituencies to translate business development concepts into specific initiatives, marketing/outreach projects, and lead generation activities. The BDR will be responsible for working collaboratively with product and community engagement to define and execute on lead generating workflows and future sales competencies. The BDR will report up progress through the Director of Field Sales and the Director of Duals product. Assists in market strategy and planning. Expert in company products and programs.
Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing
Develops innovative approaches to infiltrate the market. Contributes to the development of a viable sales plan for the assigned territory that ultimately drives lead generation on a monthly basis. Work may include development, execution, and refinement of compliant lead generating workflows, and regular progress report out.
Serves as a subject matter expert on Tufts Health Plan, One Care and maintains all current product certifications and appropriate licensure
Driven and enthusiastic, comfortable working with executives as well as line staff
Responsible for developing “Partner-based relationships” with community business organizations and provider groups throughout the state. All groups must be contacted on a regular basis. Training of office staff on the promotion of One Care is essential. Must identify joint opportunities to impact the community.
Participates in planning and implementation of outreach strategies and programs in conjunction with Field Sales and Community Engagement teams
Manage all activities and events within budget.
Conducts presentations, sales activities and other informational events in accordance with current approved communication and marketing programs and CMS and State regulations
Participate in selected committees and project teams.
Responsible for keeping up with all administrative requirements including a territory business plan, weekly activity plans and results reports, expense reports, attending team and organization meetings.
Represents Point32Health in a manner consistent with stated company values.
Strictly adheres to company and departmental policies and procedures and regulatory agency guidelines, including CMS MIPPA regulations.
Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.
Qualifications – what you need to perform the job
EDUCATION: (Minimum educations & certifications required)
Bachelor’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)
Minimum of four-six years of managed Medicare, Managed Long Term Care and/or Medicaid sales, or health insurance sales required.
Minimum of two years of Sales, outreach, and/or community relationship within a managed care environment required. Minimum of two years’ experience in a high volume sales environment preferred.
Experience developing market research information and market strategies for Sales team
Experience developing relationships with Community Base Organizations, Faith Based Organizations, Providers, etc.
Prior community outreach and advocacy experience
Experience with Government Programs, Medicare and Medicaid, preferred.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to speak to groups of all sizes.
Excellent customer service skills
Experience marketing to a culturally diverse target population required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong analytic skills including knowledge of SWOT, (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) Gap and Competitive analysis required.
Deep knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations required.
Strong organizational skills required.

High degree of planning and problem solving required. Good analytical skills. Requires ability to interact professionally and effectively with management, internal staff and external customers.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Demands high energy and patience level. Must be able to stand for up to 4-6 hours at events. Works 75-100% of the time on the road. Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle. In state travel is required. The job may require early morning, evening or weekend hours.

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a broad range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; equity with internal colleagues; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
