  About the Role

  Our Sales team love building relationships, connecting with customers to sell our much-loved brands in new and vibrant markets where they can thrive. They help sell 6.5 billion litres of our iconic brands across 180 countries every year.

  Our passionate and energetic NSW Field Sales team are looking for an outstanding Business Development Manager to join them in building and driving the Diageo business across a broad portfolio of customer groups across ACT and Surrounds territory – working with key multi-site retail groups and on-premise venues and groups. Taking on a well-established, highly engaged customer portfolio, this role will have Business Development and new customer acquisition involved.

  This role is based in Canberra due to on trade requirements

  What does this role look like to you?

  As our Business Development Manager, you will use commercial knowledge and insights to deliver results whilst operating with simplicity and creativity, driving optimum operational performance. Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to develop deep customer relationships in a competitive market.

  Experience in a sales role growing existing and driving new business

  A passion and understanding of the challenges facing the hospitality and on premise industry, preferably with some background within this sector

  An ability to manage and maintain strong relationships with your customers

  Ability to build and deploy a strategic regional sales plan

  Unwavering focus with tangible results

  Experience in using data to derive commercial insights

  Proven track record in recognising and converting commercial opportunities

  Ability to leverage and maximise technology platforms
