Position Purpose:
The Thought Leader Engagement (TLE) Associate Principal will be responsible for selling into assigned life sciences accounts (i.e., Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Pre-commercial) by creating and implementing a go to market strategy for the targeted accounts in the assigned territory. Specific to the TLE relevant offerings, the TLE Principal will develop sales strategies that resonate with the client’s objectives in their Therapeutic Area/s and Indication/s. Offerings include identifying Scientific (KOLs), Clinical, Peer, and Digital thought leaders as well as enabling our clients to measure their engagement strategies and networks across clinical, medical affairs and commercial entities.
The TLE Associate Principal will have a keen interest to be a part of and contribute to a team environment and fostering current client relationships to grow accounts and develop new client relationships. The TLE associate principal will recognize opportunities for growth and implement strategies that will enhance client outcomes and provide short term and long-term revenue as well as discover leads where applicable in the IQVIA ecosystem.
Primary Duties:
Present capabilities and design solution for IQVIA’s Thought Leader Offerings for new and existing Life Science clients
Proactively shape relationship with clients at multiple levels and in multiple functional areas within the client organization
Provide strategic guidance on different segments of thought leaders/KOLs and their networks
Develop pricing, submit proposals, close sales, and manage the contract process in CRM
Map opportunities and decision-makers within assigned accounts
Generate opportunities, develop, retain, and grow accounts
Advise and provide oversight with the delivery team and consultants on project engagements
Provide subject matter expertise within Thought Leader Engagement Team
The TLE Principal will facilitate these responsibilities across multiple disease therapies in the United States and global markets.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Medical Affairs function and Commercialization process within Life Sciences
3-5 years consultative sales experience (preferably into the Pharmaceutical industry) with a demonstrated history of sales accomplishment
Experience selling and networking into Medical Affairs, Marketing, Clinical and Commercial teams at Pharmaceutical companies
Knowledge of the life cycle phases of products and therapies within multiple therapeutic areas / disease categories
Proven ability to interface independently with clients in a consultative, selling capacity with some support from other members of the team.
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge required in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and Web-based systems
Meets or exceeds client needs by developing and delivering insightful, value-added solutions that address complex client issues.
Serves as solutions-based expert, internally and externally, by applying consultative problem solving skills.
Possesses strong communication skills including written, oral, visual capabilities
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and foster positive relationships with internal and external customers
Must have excellent written and verbal skills including strong presentation skills
Must have the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and also must work well independently
Minimum of a BA/BS degree

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $136,100.00 - $255,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
