Specific responsibilities include:
Supports BD team to identify, pursue, and win Information Technology (IT) opportunities; lead and coordinate business generation activities; develop effective and tailored sales strategies.
Plan IT IDIQ strategy for sustained and diversified growth.
Understand the needs and preferences of diverse clients in the Federal marketplace and offer relevant and customized solutions and support; respond to potential client questions and follow-up call questions; align solutions to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
Collaborate with diverse and cross-functional business area leaders to acquire, retain, and expand accounts.
Create engaging and informative presentations; deliver and communicate information to potential clients at client meetings and industry exhibits.
Maintain a comprehensive and accurate pipeline of all sales administration using CRM Microsoft Dynamics software.
Collaborate with management on setting and achieving sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintain realistic and adaptable business development plans.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at the primary work location.
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4 years of recent Federal Business Development experience.
Demonstrated understanding and experience within the Federal IT market space
Understanding of the Federal government marketplace and industry stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to execute the Business Development Associate function.
Track record of successfully negotiating with potential team members as part of an initial “gap analysis” assessment.
Ability to assess the competitive field, to include all evaluation factors, both price and non-price.
Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to clients and senior executives.
