Student Affairs Finance provides financial support to the departments within the Division of Student Affairs. This position will work specifically in the Student Organization Finance Center within the Department of Student Activities. The Department of Student Activities fosters and supports leadership, learning, and involvement opportunities that enhance the growth and development of students and recognized student organizations. What we want
The Business Coordinator II position serves as the Student Organization Finance Center (SOFC) liaison for distance campuses. This position coordinates student organization financial policies and procedures between the Texas A&M Flagship campus and those locations outside the Bryan, College Station area. This position also creates and maintains training programs and materials to promote financial literacy and responsible handling of organization finances. The position serves over 1,400 recognized student organizations, their leaders, and advisors while monitoring compliance within all processes and procedures as mandated by Federal, State, and University policies and procedures.

What you need to know
Salary range : $43,000-$46,000 ; Compensation will be based on selected hire’s experience

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
Previous experience training and/or presenting materials to a large audience in-person and/or online
Previous work with students in a higher education setting
Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, Articulate or similar module development platforms, and/or other eLearning creation software
Responsibilities:
Training - Develops, manages, and evaluates educational materials such as modules, videos, and handbooks to provide consistent financial processing information. Creates resources and tools that assist recognized student organization leaders and advisors with the financial management and recordkeeping. Assist with management of problem ticket database using data to assist identifying training needs. Contributes to the input and resolution of problem tickets.
Campus Coordination - Serve as a liaison for TAMU off-site campuses in support of student organization financial rules, policies, and practices. Maintains communication with staff and student leaders, providing guidance and resources for satellite and branch campuses.
Financial Processing - Process SOFC payment request documents for recognized student organizations in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and rules. Obtains all required approvals, processes payment vouchers and other forms as necessary. Assist with external funding processes involving Texas A&M Foundation and The Association of Former Students.
