About Investment Strategic Partners:
Investment Strategic Partners works with the Global Head of Investments and each of the Investment divisions to help ensure analysts and portfolio managers have the information needed to make investment decisions with the accuracy, clarity, depth and speed required in a highly competitive market. ISP also works across Global Investments in developing and executing strategic and operational initiatives that span asset classes and require collaboration with Technology, Finance, HR, Risk and other internal business partners. The teams within ISP include the Investment Specialist Group, Investment Data Insights, Corporate Access External Research Services, ESG, and Administrative Services.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Business Analyst will support both Global Investments and Investment Strategic Partners (ISP) business functions across asset classes and geographies. Areas of focus include decision support for key strategic and operational initiatives, business planning and budgeting, resource and metrics reporting, communications and presentation development, business process design, and our project portfolio. Candidates must be problem solvers with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and be capable of collaborating and communicating effectively with a diverse set of internal partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with colleagues across Investments as well as our partners in Finance, Technology, Transformation Office, Market Data, Human Resources, and Risk Compliance to gather/analyze data and synthetize findings in support of advancing strategic and operational priorities
Assist with business management functions such as expense forecasting, market data governance, business continuity planning, space planning, procurement, and departmental communications
Contribute to the design and implementation of policy, processes, and business governance practices that improve efficiency and reduce risk
Collaborate with Investments GMs and their Business Management teams. Request and consolidate information to support business decisions
Develop and maintain presentations and spreadsheet analyses used in support of and to communicate with internal business partners
Execution support for ISP’s project portfolio
Complete Workday transactions, access reviews, and other managerial/administrative tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
2+ years of relevant work experience
Outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp business issues and user needs
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate well – oral and written
Ability to learn and work with multiple systems effectively
Multitask, prioritize work collaboratively and independently
Resourceful, self-motivated, and intellectually curious
Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships
Preferred
Work experience in the investment industry and an understanding of its emerging challenges
CFA charter not required, but fluency with finance and accounting concepts is helpful
Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently; demonstrates proactive approach and is flexible with change; can also actively participate as part of a cross-functional team
Project management experience in a fast-paced business environment
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for remote work up to one day per week.
