We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic business analyst to join our team and help deliver innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform to meet State agencies’ business needs. In the business analyst role, you will work with a wide variety of business partners at agencies to understand their current business processes, conduct discovery workshops to elicit business requirements, and define the desired future state. The business analyst works closely with the technical team to represent the needs of the business partner to ensure value is delivered quickly through an iterative process. In addition, the business analyst helps conduct testing and validation of the solution to ensure it meets business requirements. Education and Experience: * A Bachelor’s degree and three years of applicable experience. * Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Competencies: /Knowledge of:/ * Business analysis concepts, skills, and techniques; * Basic understanding of agile methodology; * Basic understanding of software development lifecycle. Preferred: * ServiceNow platform; * Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). /Ability to:/ * Review and analyze existing business processes to understand a business partner’s current state; * Elicit, define, and document business requirements; refine business requirements based on iterative feedback; * Develop and maintain relevant business documentation such as business process workflows and user stories; * Communicate effectively with a diverse, and often non-technical, audience with the goal of translating their business needs into IT solutions utilizing the ServiceNow platform; * Articulate and represent the needs of business partners to the technical team throughout the software development lifecycle; facilitate dialogue to ensure the development team understands the requirements; * Conduct testing and validation of the solution to maintain quality and satisfy the customer’s needs; * Establish collaborative working relationships with all involved parties; and * Be agile and able to adapt to continuous change.
