Shift : 1st; 6am-4pm

　　Monday thru Friday, +Weekends as Production Scheduled Requires

　　Pay Rate: $21.00

　　Primary Duties:

　　This position is responsible for supplying meat to the grindroom from the Meat receiving cooler, transporting raw meat from combos to the grinder and grinding of frozen meat. Inspects meat for foreign material and removes it as necessary; removes garbage and pallets from the grind room; Is also called upon to operate grinders; operates a metal detector belt and auger that delivers meat to Wolfking Grinder; grinds frozen meat; takes out trash and compacts cardboard. Helps set-up grind room for production run; employs proper safety practices; maintains records to ensure the accuracy of meat grades. knows and follows USDA guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.

　　The individual is required to contribute to harmony in the workplace.

　　All team members must abide by all of Burke's Plant Safety Rules!

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　18 years or older

　　6 months of work history

　　Able to learn and perform multiple positions (Training Provided)

　　Able to work in temperatures of 40-50 degrees; 32 degrees when in the cooler

　　Able to operate an electric pallet jack (Training Provided)

　　Able to operate food processing equipment (Training Provided)

　　Work around and with spices

　　Able to work in a fast-paced environment

　　Lift up to 50lbs.

　　Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time

　　Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stepping up and down

　　Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)

　　Fill in for other plant positions as needed (Additional Training and Pay Provided for High Graded Jobs)

　　Basic math skills

　　Any and all duties assigned by supervisor
