As Budget Analyst 2 for our Department of Human Services, Bureau of Financial Management, you can make a difference in the area of finance!

  DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  As a Budget Analyst 2, you will meet with program offices to provide information, statistics, regular fiscal interpretation, and accomplishments as well as perform budgetary and financial functions. In this position, you will analyze agency budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls, accumulate information from our financial system, and develop and present a variety of budget and funding system status reports.

  The Budget Analyst 2 reviews and approves contract modifications and adjustment requests submitted by the program office, verifies that the contract modifications and amendments or re-budgets have been correctly entered by the Controller's Office, and ensures accuracy smooth processing for payments. You will also have the opportunity to prepare projections of assigned grants, assist in the preparations of the county grant budget for the annual submission, and serve as a liaison with different bureaus in our department.   Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as a Budget Analyst I; orTwo years of experience in technical budget administration work, and a bachelor's degree; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.
