Description/Job Summary
Maintenance Technicians in our operation will repair, adjust, trouble-shoot, and perform preventative maintenance on blown film extrusion equipment.

Openings available on our 12 hour shifts -7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am rotating days off - every other weekend off

Responsibilities/Duties
Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and operate equipment and components throughout the plant
Provide support to production personnel to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems
Gather and analyze data to support equipment improvement upgrades
Determine, setup and maintain spare parts
Complete understanding of OEM preventative maintenance requirements Investigate causes of failures of operating equipment; assist in repair procedures and corrective measures
Comply with all written and verbal safety rules using PPE as required by department and plant safety programs.
Maintain/complete all necessary forms, files and paperwork associated with the Maintenance Department.
Responsible for good housekeeping in assigned and work areas
Available for overtime and rotating schedules
Participate in 24 hour on-call activities as needed
Any other duties or responsibilities as deemed appropriate by superior
Required Skills
Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs and the like using feet & legs or hands & arms
Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine & waist.
Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees.
Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking, moving on foot to accomplish tasks.
Lifting, raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
Degree of lifting: 5-50 lbs.
Fingering, picking , pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.

Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word, via face to face or telephone.
Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with not less than a 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 1000 Hz and 2000 Hz with or without correction.
Ability to receive verbal communications and make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion
Pushing, using the upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Machine operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative duties.
Mobile equipment operation, operate cars, truck, forklift.
Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception.
Required Experience
?Previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance department
Prefer experience in plastics extrusion
Required Education
Reuired Education High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education

Work Environment
Conditions Inside and outside environments apply
Subject to extreme cold, temperature below 32 degrees for period of more than one hour
Subject to noise causing reason to shout in order to be heard above noise level.
Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat or combustible material.
Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes, gases, poor ventilation and dust.
Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.
