WTTG/WDCA - Broadcast Engineer (Regular Full-Time)

　　Fox 5 WTTG / Fox 5 Plus WDCA, the #1 local television news operation in the Washington, DC metro area, is seeking a Broadcast Engineer (Full-time) to support the operation of our ST 2110 IP facility. IT Network Engineers with some broadcast experience may be considered for this role.

　　JOB HIGHLIGHTS:

　　Support an ST 2110 media network running on Arista network switchesWork with Lawo VSM, SMART, Arista Cloudvision and other toolsMaintain complex broadcast systems and equipment such as cameras, production switchers, graphics systems, non-linear editing systems, cloud-based systems, intercom, production audio consoles, ENG equipment, etc.WHAT YOU WILL NEED

　　Hands-on experience working in a television facilityExperience providing technical support for production video and broadcast operationsExperience with IP routing and workowsGeneral understanding of the SMPTE 2110 suite of standardsAbility to troubleshoot computer and network-based systemsAbility to read technical drawings and follow signal flowsStrong analytical, reasoning, and technical troubleshooting skillsAbility to take direction and work under deadline pressureMust be organized, creative, and detail-orientedStrong sense of urgencyAbility to work independently and as part of a cohesive teamNICE TO HAVE:

　　Bachelor's degree, preferred focus in electrical engineering or computer science or related field

　　Arista or Cisco certification, Arista CloudVision

　　Experience maintaining a television transmitter

　　Specific expertise with Chyron graphics, Sony production switchers, Lawo control systems, VxRail or other VM servers and storage systems

　　Knowledge of Microsoft tools, including MS Visio

　　Autocad experience
