About the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA):
OCRA works with local, state, and national partners to provide resources and technical assistance to aid communities in shaping and achieving their vision for community and economic development.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
Role Overview:
The Broadband Data Analyst serves the State of Indiana’s Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) and the Lt. Governor in assisting the management of the Next Level Connections program and other related Broadband programs. You should be familiar with data collection and management and be comfortable with managing and auditing grant programs. The Broadband Data Analyst is responsible for the development, delivery, and ongoing management of various short- and long-term projects relating to the Broadband funding programs. The Broadband Data Analyst must provide excellent customer service and must be responsive to state contacts of all disciplines. The Broadband Data Analyst reports directly to the OCRA Broadband Program Director. This is a Hybrid work Environment, and the incumbent must be at the office location at least 3 days a week

A Day in the Life:
The essential duties of this role are:
Support and enhance ad-hoc reporting using the Salesforce platform and Microsoft Excel
Conduct data mining activities
Interpret, aggregate, and summarize results from data source
Collect and compile data on specific aspects of OCRA Broadband programs
Conduct analyses and investigations into certain areas such as long-range and short-term goals, problems, and project health
Assist in creating new initiatives, programs, and projects
Assist in creating, reviewing, and/or maintaining standard operating procedures
Participate in all required departmental meetings and provide feedback within the program
Recognize areas for internal improvement and develop plans for improvement
Provide support to other members of broadband and other OCRA programs at times

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of prior work experience required leveraging data to drive significant organizational impact
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel including knowledge of pivot tables and common formulas
Experience manipulating large data sets including cleaning, standardizing, and transforming
Must have experience with Python
Experience working with the Salesforce platform is a plus
Ability to anticipate problems and initiate corrective actions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to translate technical details into everyday language
Ability to maintain effective working relationships
