Tetra Tech is currently seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our Toledo, Ohio Transportation Group who, under the direction of a project manager, will prepare bridge design plans for the Ohio Department of Transportation and local agencies. A typical day might include leading or assisting in the development of project designs and directing junior engineers, designers and CADD technicians to successfully execute and deliver project work, while implementing client focused strategies.
Your Role :Design bridges and culvertsPlan production including 3D Modeling and CADDLoad rating analysis of bridgesUtilize structural design softwarePreparing structural evaluation studies, structure type studies and similar reportsComputation of estimated quantities, plan notes and develops cost estimatesSite visits to support the design processSupervises the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with state and local officials and other outside agencies and sub-consultantsParticipates in business development efforts and meets with clients
Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringPE license, required10 years of engineering experience, which must include bridge design and plan productionFamiliarity with Ohio DOT bridge design standardsExperience with computer software such as OpenRoads, AutoCAD, OpenBridge Designer, AASHTOWare BrRQualifications and experience as Bridge Inspection Team Leader is a plusMust possess a valid driver's license, with a favorable driving recordStrong written and verbal communications skills
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000, DOE
