Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a skilled Bookkeeper in STERLING HEIGHTS, Michigan. This role involves assisting in a busy manufacturing office environment, where you will be expected to handle various tasks ranging from processing customer applications to maintaining customer records.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and enter new orders into global shop solutions software

• Prepare and manage shipping documents and quotations

• Maintain and balance daily time tickets

• Carry out bank transfers and process checks for payroll

• Handle accounts payable and receivable duties, including processing invoices and following up on past-due payments

• Answer phone calls and emails promptly, providing customer assistance as needed

• Supervise daily office operations and maintain office supplies

• Perform bank and account reconciliations

• Handle data entry tasks and utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks

• Conduct month-end close processes and utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a bookkeeping or office manager role, where you were the sole individual responsible for the daily accounting and office operations.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Strong bookkeeping skills

• Accurate data entry abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month end close procedures

• Knowledge of timekeeping processes
