Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Charleston, South Carolina. This role is in the legal industry and can be performed either remotely or onsite. As a Bookkeeper, your main duties will involve using QuickBooks online to prepare financial information for our CPA firm. You will also be responsible for managing certain personal checking transactions and assisting with payroll through the PayChex system.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize QuickBooks online to prepare financial data for CPA firm.

• Manage personal checking transactions as needed.

• Assist with weekly payroll processing using the PayChex system.

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks regularly.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Carry out data entry tasks in an efficient and timely manner.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reporting tasks.

• Assist with month end close procedures. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in using Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven skills in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in executing Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in Bookkeeping is essential

• Should have strong Data Entry skills

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Experience in managing Payroll

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks is required

• Must have relevant experience in the legal industry

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is desirable

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have the legal right to work in the specified location.
