Description

We are looking for a part-time Bookkeeper to join our team in Harrison, New Jersey. The role primarily involves processing accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping information. The role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake small account analysis to ensure accurate financial records.

• Apply cash management principles to maintain appropriate cash flow within the organization.

• Prepare journal entries to keep track of financial transactions.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial reporting.

• Perform bookkeeping tasks including updating financial statements and preparing reports.

• Use software for efficient and accurate financial management.

• Leverage 1-2 years of experience in similar roles to improve efficiency.

• Manage replacements during leaves, ensuring continued smooth operation of financial tasks.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field

• Proficient in account reconciliation and data entry

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes

• Skilled in bank reconciliations and month end close procedures

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with bookkeeping principles and practices

• Familiarity with payroll procedures and management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with accounting softwares

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.
