  Job Summary

  SALARY: The hourly pay for this position is $17.00. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

  SCHEDULE:

  Summer = Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

  School Year = minimum 10hrs a week, flexible time and CRL will work with Intern's school schedule

  INTERNSHIP TARGET START DATE: May 13, 2024 or June 3, 2024

  We are seeking a Biostatistics Associate - Intern for our Biostatistics Team located in Mattawan, Michigan. This internship will last 1 year.

  The Biostatistics Associate - Intern position is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate statistical methods are applied to reported data in a federally-regulated research environment.

  Job Qualifications

  BS in Statistics / Applied Statistics / Biostatistics or comparable field and 0-2 years of relevant experience.

  Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

  Proficiency with SAS and other statistical software.

  Familiarity with FDA/ICH guidelines/guidance and procedures, a plus.

  Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

  Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions and including ability to learn a validated system.

  Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice.

  Ability to work under specific time constraints.

  About Safety Assessment

  Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
