Job Summary:
Responsible for inspecting, installing and repairing medical devices. Assists medical/nursing staff in operation/use of equipment. Tests the functionality of medical equipment making necessary operational adjustments.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedules and performs repairs, maintenance, and troubleshoots equipment per manufacture guidelines, includes maintaining water treatment rooms.
Serves as a liaison between routine and unscheduled repair/maintenance with contracted vendors.
Collects and processes water/dialysate samples, reviewing, evaluating, quality results to ensure Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards.
Records all maintenance per frequency required and documents actions performed on devices and water treatment rooms.
Examines water system records to assure adherence to device Instruction for Use (IFU) for compliance and serves as a subject matter expert when parameters are out of range to course correct.
Participates in monthly service line reporting and review with key stakeholders.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
